Title: New DG t-shirts
Post by: Shirow on February 24, 2013, 08:54:59 AM
Just sold the last one of the old style. I won't print any more until the new site launches, but who would be interested in some new ones?

Thats great Shirow.  You sold the last one of the previous style.
What ever the new one will be.  You can count me down for at least three.
Good day to you.  Cheers mate.

Coming out of hiding, i'd go 1 for every work day; so 5 or 6.

Any chance for hoodies?

Hoodies would be cool.

Yes, but they would probably be relatively pricey. Last time I did hoodies, I think they were $40 or so.

What if you asked for those interested to pre-order? Would that make it remunerative?

Totally understandable.  You dont want to pay out for an inventory stockpile that might take to long to sell out.  Is what faelaenx suggested plausible taking into consideration the minimum number of units you would have to get printed off at one time.  Then to see how many pre orders with payment up front would be acknowledged.  It may sound complicated.  Yet I would be quite willing to commit.  I dont get quite as much summer here in St. John's that I did in Vancouver.  LOL.
If enough listeners read this and are also willing to commit and let you know.  Once you get the appropriate number of customers.  Let us know that we have 3 weeks to come up with the cash or the order wont go in.
So this is like for any others interested in the hoodie.   Let Shirow know that you would be willing to pay up front knowing yourself that you would be capable.  Then when enough commitments are made.  Shirow would give us the date to make payment by and if any who commit dont pay by that date.  Then bad karma followed by the execution squad would prevail.  LOL.
Dont mind me.  I just had a chat with Mary Jane and this topic does interest me so I thought to expand a bit on what faelaenx suggested.
Something to ponder over eh Shirow, and all listeners out there living in the colder parts of the world and every where else.
With faelaenx and myself.  That is now 2 units you have on pre pay commitment.  And for others who are interested.  Let Shirow know and we shall see how long it takes to come up with a number to make the order viable.
Of coarse I am saying this as it is coming from my head and have no authority to say this is a plausible concept.
However.  Let Shirow know you would be willing to commit and then the upper management of Digital Gunfire could make a decision over a board meeting to see if it is a possible business arrangement.
Good day to all.  I am off work for the day so I get to play with my chainsaw for a bit.  Gotta get the firewood ready for next winter.

I'm fine with preorders, they just tend to not amount to a very large quantity. Most of the time when I print new shirts, I sell a bunch right away and then they linger for a while. Which doesn't bother me terribly but I just have to judge the right quantities.

I love my old DG shirt :) I wear it a lot! (still in good shape too!)

Doesn't look like much has happened in this thread :/

$40 hoodie is pricey!

Direct to garment printing should bring the cost down. A quick online search shows $16 hoodies with no minimum order (and volume discounts) for CMYK with White ink (prints over 16 million colors)

I hope DG apparel makes a comeback :)
