General Discussion / New aggrotech from DG Allstars

Brand new aggrotech with crazy awesome programming and sequencing by kender and horrific vocals by myself!

We call it: Never!

The bizarre distortion and disharmonious vocals are really grating. It's in a weird spot between being too rough to be enjoyable as Industrial and not rough enough for it to be enjoyable as Noize.

General Discussion / Question about the Amazon referral system
« on: July 06, 2008, 10:34:11 PM »
So, does DG get credit for purchases of a different version of the linked album? I'd imagine not as it doesn't include the handy referral tag in the URL.

If not, could you also link to the Amazon MP3 album version?

I've picked up a couple albums based on good tracks I've heard on DG that way and want to make sure that you're getting your slice of the pie.

I don't know how long they've been on DG, but I heard "Hustler" earlier today and ended up buying A Young Person's Guide To Heartbreak. All in all, I think it's pretty cool album and I'm glad that DG turned me onto the band. However, "This party sucks, let's leave" doesn't seem to work as a stand alone track. I think it could be dropped for something else. Perhaps swapping it out with "Crush and Spurn"? I'm digging that track's crunchiness.

Technical Support / Stream down?
« on: January 28, 2008, 01:52:47 AM »
Getting 401s from all of the streams using the PLS file. Web-based player is eating it. Even brought up a Window box to test the AX stream and got squat. Not a helpful error code, just a "you get nothing! LOL!" page, which I imagine could be a 401 error, as well.

Error successfully duplicated with another user:

<EvilCouch_> Is the DG stream working for anyone else?
<elfspice> good q
* elfspice inquires
<elfspice> at a superficial inquiry, it appears to not be working
<elfspice> the 56kbps stream is working for me
<elfspice> the 128kbps stream is demanding http-basic authentication
<elfspice> so i think there is a problem
<elfspice> the web player is not working either

Technical Support / New forum bug

The avatar "blank.gif" is linked on one part of the avatar gallery as being on, which being all secret, hush, hush, we peons don't have access to, resulting in an annoying prompt for password when fucking around with our profiles.

Off Topic Discussion / World's Worst Webcomic
« on: October 24, 2006, 03:07:59 PM »
For those of you that don't hang out in the IRC channel, you should know about World's worst webcomic.

It's pretty bad, but kender says that we're, " the ONLY comic i read to be updated in the last 5 days"

World's worst webcomic: Bringing you shitty comics more consistantly than guys with talent.

C'mon, who's seen it? The movie's fucking golden!

Off Topic Discussion / Yay for CombiChrist, VNV Nation AND cyberpunk
« on: June 29, 2006, 05:38:58 AM »

Found this music video and subsequently this movie's website.

Seems that CombiChrist and VNV Nation are doing the soundtrack for this flick.

It's cyberpunk and has cool music. That's about all I know. No idea who the director is. It seems like this is his first feature length flick. Could be an instant cult classic. Could be a horrible film with a cool soundtrack.

I think I'll drop 5 bucks to check it out, whenever it gets released.

Gaming / New JSN film complete: Rockstar Parking
« on: April 08, 2006, 06:07:16 AM »
Battlefield 2 is full of stories. This is one of them.

A tale of woe. A tale of tragedy. A tale of an asshole who stole a parking spot and now has an APC full of guys gunning for his ass.

The full quality version is 800x600 and around 100MB
The medium quality version is 400x300 and around 30MB

The video was encoded with Xvid and will require an MPEG-4 codec to play. I suggest Xvid, as it will guarantee 100% compatibility.

Gaming / Active, Public TeamSpeak server
« on: March 15, 2006, 07:09:12 PM »
My gaming clan runs a TeamSpeak server 24-7. You can usually find a few people in your favorite game to play with.

Games that almost always have someone on are: WoW, EQII PVP, CoV, Battlefield 2.

Naturally, as games come and go, this will change, but it's open to the public and anyone interested in gaming is welcome to come. Well, almost anyone. We still ban idiots.

Just enter in: into your "Server Address" field and you'll be good to go.
