Name That Song! / I f'ing miss you, mi amor, you are my emptiness
« Last post by Uej6G on May 19, 2017, 06:09:39 PM »
I'm trying to figure out the name of this song. Lyrics include "I [f'ing] miss you" "mi amor" and possibly "you are my emptiness". The song has a sound similar to that of Hocico, Centhron, Psyclon Nine, Rabia Sorda, etc. It's on the harsher end of DG's library. I've listened to a few seconds from hundred of songs by these bands on YouTube trying to find it and I just can't. I lost a family member yesterday and it would mean a lot if someone figured out the name of this song for me.

Gorka, a US citizen who was born in Britain and has Hungarian parents, was known for his dire warnings about Islamic terrorism while at Breitbart.

Though his role at the White House was always nebulous, he emerged as a top spokesman for the Trump administration, frequently appearing on CNN and other networks.
The Washington Examiner first reported Gorka's expected departure.

Name That Song! / Help me identify a song by makeshift synth line
« Last post by h4 on March 20, 2017, 09:29:09 PM »
I am not a musician so there are lots of errors and inaccuracies in my attempt to make a clip of this synth line (http://h4.wlwl.org/~h4ngedm4n/help_id_this.wav).

I recall the style being more of the synthpop and ebm style than industrial but its something that would have gotten played on this station or in dance clubs. It has a dominant, simple catchy synth like Covenant songs. IIRC there were some yelly distorted vocals where the guy asks god to help him. I actually thought it would be a Flesh Field song but couldn't find a matching song so maybe I misremember. Anyway I can't seem to remember what this song is so I hope someone here can help!

edit: sry for the shitty sound clip.  i mouseclicked vmpk's digital keyboard through trial and error and somehow recorded into audacity.  but it sounds sketchy.

edit 2: finally found. frequency construct - fallout, although this synth line is secondary.  praise youtube having lots of songs.

Name That Song! / Got a song burned in my brain...
« Last post by Mendoza on February 27, 2017, 01:25:31 PM »
So.
Ages ago I hear a song, and I loved listening to it. All I remember is the sound of the synth bass during a bridge / end of a phrase, sounds SUPER similar to this sound of an ukulele: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RylxBtEM0sI&feature=youtu.be&t=394 (bear with me and actually listen to it)

I *think* after the synth there was lyrics, but my idiot brain wont remember any of it, so I can't use google-fu.
I distinctly remember the synth dropping down and ending in a higher note, but that's about it.

I know this is not much to go on, but I trust there is at lease one person around here who reads this and immediately recognizes the song.

General Discussion / Re: best radio station ever - this one?

Message boards take a lot of time and "my generation" of listeners is probably busy
like ? getting older (omw to the mid 40s already!)

a live chat might be worthwhile considering, used to be irc but times change ? i doubt something like Discord or similar would be feasable

- Creepster, still alive and still listening since ca. 2002 or something

General Discussion / Any way to stream on Sonos?
« Last post by grifta67 on January 18, 2017, 08:19:19 PM »
Hello!

I know DG is pretty barebones so I wouldn't expect an official Sonos channel or anything, but does anyone know a work around to listen to DG over Sonos?  I'd love to crank it in the office on late nights when I'm the only one here!

Regardless, thanks for keeping it up and running for all this time!
