Silent Auction on Honeymoon in your area
« on: March 09, 2010, 04:07:17 PM »
My fiancee and I will be in your area for our honeymoon in May and we are trying to find some cool Goth / Electro clubs to visit and also hand out some promos to as well.
Can anyone suggest a few places to visit , radio stations and info to contact, people we should meet?

Eeeww I can't believe you put Angelspit  & Ayria together like that...Ayria is soooo much better then Angelspit even on a bad day.

So I just strolled over to Silent Auctions website link that they so conviently posted in their thread & was not impressed, actually after reading their huge post I was rather disappointed.

I don't see how they could have a high number of traffic going though there when there isn't really anything there on the site to look at. Other then the inital image you see with the album cover. But if you haven't noticed it, you can scroll down and there is not text. But highlight it like you would text and scroll down & keep going.

There is a bottom & at the bottom there are a bunch of genre names & it even says VNV Nation like they were just throwing that out there. Some banner shit & that's about it for that website.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed, I think I will stick with DG's player...

Ehr, I didnt know DG was from the Seattle area.

But that aside, this is the internet. Doubt youll find place specific forums on a thing that can be accessed by anyone who has internet. Unless you go searching for a Seattle forum.

And you seem to have pissed off quite a bit of people here. You know, it might be a tip to familiarize yourself with either forum rules or forum etiquette. You dont like it when someone barges into your home, starts trashing it and disrespecting the rules of your house. Same counts for every place more then 2 humans socially interact. Everyone understands a slip up, but you didnt even try to get basic understanding of how a forum works and whats generally accepted and not accepted.

Also, its kinda pointless to brag about big names. They dont make you any more famous and it doesnt make your music any better. In the end, everybody knows them, but I never heard of you and Im pretty sure most of us here didnt. No offense and keep working on getting a bigger name, but just pointing out.

Oh, and I didnt think it was that bad. The sample I heard sounded pretty nice. Room for improvement yes, but it did not deserve to be compared to Angelspit.

when i heard the first track on their website (which is one more mix of the same song) the way it was sung reminded me of angelspit

it's this short tempered, bitch-attitude of singing (or rather sing-bitching) which becomes more and more common and i have heard (that's why i also had to think of pzycho bitch)

which makes me come to think ... maybe i should do some lyrics as well, i'd fit right in

Jason,

The Seattle misunderstanding is understandable, though I'm still not sure how it happened. No worries there.

I'm going to also agree with the Angelspit reference on the website, and the vocal majority on this forum tend to not like that group, but I can honestly say it wasn't repulsive to me like Angelspit is. Honestly it wasn't bad.

I also listened to some of the stuff you have on your myspace page.  (I may be crabby, but I'll give you a fair shake).  "OK" and "Mistletoe" didn't sound anything like Angelspit to me. I'm interested enough to hear more.  Let us know when you update your website (once should be enough :P), and maybe send something to Shirow.  He runs DG and is always looking for new music to add.

As for the rest of us, we bark alot, we're judgmental, we know what we like, and we damn sure kick up a lot of dirt when someone rocks the boat even a little.  I'll speak for myself that it isn't personal unless you call me a troll.  ;,,;

And congrats on getting married.  Enjoy your honeymoon.

Hmm, no offense, but I think you might be a little to much bitch for people to handle in their music. Youd make people cry.

Would that be a whole new sub-genre?
