Issues with sample listening in the music database!
« on: January 22, 2013, 02:18:05 PM »
I don't know if its me or the DG server but Ive tried to listen to any samples from artists in the music database on FF latest version, IE7 or 8 and my mobile browser on my phone I can't seem to listen to any track samples like I use too a year or 2 ago...0.o What happened, is DG experiencing some technical difficulties that conflict in that area or something? Sry I have to ask xD

The stream seems fine, are you using the links on the front page?

The player for the samples does seem to be messed up. I will work on fixing it.

Well I tried again this morning and I can't get winamp to connect to either the 128k or 192k stream.  Also tried the foobar2000 player.  It is probably something on my end.  I can still connect with Windows Media Player though.

Weird, they do work for me (the WinAMP links)

I am planning on improving the 'tune in' options significantly with the new site though.

Thank you for investigating this problem, right now my FF browser media player is linked to my vlc player atm as a plugin or something i do have windows media player and winamp but if the link was that format only or too stream through such specified players I would assume the others would pop up like they use to. Even windows media would show something out side the browser but nothing seems to happen and im using the front page buttons, xD which did work, use to work a few years ago... I'm sorta an old time listener u could say. :)
