So ...
« on: October 22, 2013, 12:58:25 PM »
... I am back.

It has been a while and I do not know how long my absence really was, so let me start with what I think most people (might) remember.

In autumn 2010 I lost my job as a lab technician at the university in Kingston, Ontario where I have been employed since 2005 and was an avid DG listener (torturing my boss as well as the students with the stream blasting).

When I had to leave Kingston, I went to stay with my ex and his mother and then one of her friends in Bathurst, New Brunswick until finding a new position.

Which I found in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where I worked at the university as a technician starting in July 2011.

In 2012 I finally became Permanent Resident of Canada.

Alas the job in Winnipeg turned sour and I decided to just up and leave, handing in notice for August.

As it happens my old boss got in contact with me, so I am back in Kingston, ON since October and working temporarily in my old lab.

Even though it has been 3 years it still feels familiar enough to make me think I left only last month. And it is nice to be recognized by people within the building I have not worked with either.

Anyway, long story short I am back to blasting DG on the lab computer and I want to stay in Kingston.

I slimmed down from 4 cats to 2 and hopefully with January next year I will finally live in a house with back yard, porch, bbq, dog, ferret, more cats and new partner, some new tattoos but no new piercings.

I have become an avid WoW gamer (don't even think of commenting!) and am up to 10 character slots.

I have received a few private messages over the time of absence which made me feel really warm and fuzzy being thought of. I'd really like to thank you guys and feel even worse for just breaking contact as I did.
Hopefully my future time will be more involved into DG again, I have truly missed the music.

Theory is when you know everything and nothing works.
Practice is when things work, and no one knows why.
Here we combine theory and practice.
Nothing works and no one knows why.

Hurrahhh  creepster.

It has been a long time and I have more than missed your presence.
Welcome back and I hope things are working out for you well in Kingston.
I always kinda wondered how and why you ended up in Wippaneg.
Your message just cheered up my day.
Congrats on your permanent residency in Canada.
