Stream not working on android
« on: August 22, 2014, 05:49:34 AM »
i used to be able to listen to the stream via my Galaxy S3 by simply using the chrome browser on my phone then just pressing play but recently it stopped working, the site loads but when i press Play but it just does nothing.. i have also tried on Internet explorer(ugh) and still same results.

works on the pc via chrome and WMP(saved file) have not checked internet explorer but probably works there too.

any one know why this happened? is it an Android+flash problem?

Android 4.3

edit. the Play store App dosnt want to work either

Hi Zakor,

TuneIn, has the new stream available: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tunein.player&hl=en

The website uses JPlayer, which has a problem with Android, its a known bug within JPlayer and a work around is available, but its unstable, and relies on site changes to implement.

Also, just a note, JPlayer attempts to use HTML5 Audio before trying a Flash fallback. If you want you could try Dolphin:

Dolphin: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser&hl=en
Jetpack (Plugin for Dolphin for speed): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dolphin.browser.engine&hl=en
Adobe Flash Player for Android 4.0: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/android/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk

To install flash you will need to enable "Unknown Sources" from the security section in Settings on your device.

Hope this helps.
