Good industrial bands to get into for newcomers?
« on: November 15, 2014, 05:56:24 AM »
I've recently in the past 2 years, have become really interested in industrial metal, industrial electronic and all the shades of grey in between, My favorite bands so far is Rammstein, KMFDM (and all of KMFDM's sub groups), a bit of Nine Inch Nails, Revolting Cocks, and Kraftwerk. Could some of you recommend bands that I may like and that are similar to the ones I listed? or just any bands I could get into.

Thanks!

Listening to DG is a great way to find more bands you will like :)

Some of my favorite discoveries from DG include (in no particular order):
Seabound
Assemblage 23
Covenant
VNC Nation
De/Vision
Beborn Beton
Icon of Coil
Front Line Assembly
Imperative Reaction
Cesium 137

These are ones that have stuck with me over the years, interestingly my taste has changed to dislike some of the artists I originally discovered and loved on DG. I recently tried listening to a few bands that I remembered from when I spent most of my day listening to DG and learned this!

It's hard to press the post button, cause I feel like I'm doing an injustice by keeping the list so short, but the list probably wouldn't be as helpful if it was 3 pages long :P

Good luck! :)

FSCK! How did I miss that one! They invented what became the matrix music right?

In addition to all the ones mentioned above, I'd like to add:

Die Krupps for industrial metal, and

Solitary Experiments, Sleepwalk, and FGFC820 for (IMO) the leading edge of modern post-post-industrial.
